It'll make you look silly if you enter the match with a full Magikarp team (no offense intended, slime). And do not use Pikachu under any circumstances; his stats are too low to be effective.

Until they realize that magikarp is actually the strongest pokemon in the game.

Also the comments in the thread have worked well to show that the addition of how to properly valor training and ev training would be helpful.

Re: Ven aca y combatirme! A Guide to PvP

@stg: Yeah, I'm going to note that in main post.
PP didn't set the rules, it's just something that we all abide by when battling.

@slime: There is a valor training guide that I also wrote (also linked to in Sandy's thread)

But Magikarp and Bug pokemons are the weakest pokemon in game

Scizor, Scyther, Heracross, Volcarona, Pinsir would like to have a word with you.

As for Karp, yeah its stats are less than impressive but this is slime we're talking about, so I'm not too surprised. Then again, some people think Furret is pro.

Those all are strong but not that strong that they can compete with other elements like dragon, steel, dark.

Where were you, since 1 day and half you were not on forums

Some people also think Bidoof is good, even though its only remote use is for HM slavery.

As for me not being on, I had net problems. But seriously though, it's not the end of the world if I'm not on forum/in-game.
Much like PP/fur have things to do offline, I have stuff as well (though in this case, this was unavoidable)

Re: Ven aca y combatirme! A Guide to PvP

You can use them on Smogon (for some NU set), but over here, you're better off not doing it.

Anyway, a disclaimer has been added on main post; so there is no confusion over these "rules" being official. They are designed by players to make sure we have a clean battle.

Re: Ven aca y combatirme! A Guide to PvP

yes bug pokemons are weak against fire, rock and flying type ..but that doesnt mean they cant counter those two types..yes scizor will be ohko by mostfire type skills, heracross will be ohko by most fly type skills and volkarona and scyther will be ohko by most rock type skills but that doesnt make them weak..i cant imagine there is any dark or psychic pokes which wont take very good damage from megahorn or xscissor or bugbuzz..or rock pokemons wont get great damage from heracross' close combat or pinsir's super power..and scyther, scizor and volcarona has very good skills too..so u cant underestimate them..and btw why would anyone send those pokemons against those which has type advantages on them or wont switch out when see the chance..that's called battle tactics..if u are not stupid u will use those bug pokemons well in battle..(this line for archan to call bug pokemons weakest in game)
and i want to mention there is a pokemon called ninjask which can be of great use if used properly ...so dont call pokemons weak or such thing when they have weakness..because most of pokemons has weakness..event dragons can be killed by another dragon type or ice type..and they added fairies too..so every pokemon has their weakness..except some like sabelye(spelling can be wrong),spiritomb, missdreavus and missmagius rocket etc..but even these arent that hard to kill..so in one sense all pokemon are weak and the same time strong ..

Spiritomb does have a weakness in Gen 6 (Fairies), but we're not there yet.

Re: Ven aca y combatirme! A Guide to PvP

well maybe few bugs are strong but if best 3 bugs VS worst 3 Dragons would be conducted then there is no chance for bugs that they can defeat even 1 dragon

Re: Ven aca y combatirme! A Guide to PvP

It depends on how you train them.

Hell, Scizor/Heracross/Genesect and a few other things are perfectly capable of putting dents in Dragons [my Eons being two of those targets, given their Psychic typing really doesn't help against U-Turn, Megahorn, Bug Buzz and some other stuff]. You haven't played Smogon, have you?

Re: Ven aca y combatirme! A Guide to PvP

Most Bug Pokes are crap, though as already mentioned, there are a few that are actually good.
Of course, Stealth Rock (or any form of Rock moves still kill them to no end).

Going back on topic, whatever you do on Smogon/Pokemon X and Y or any console game will not work the same here, because priority moves don't exist [well they do, but they all have priority of zero; meaning you had better outrun if you want to win or survive the hell out of the attacks]
