Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

If you see a Pokemon that should know other moves, but they are not listed on its moveset; please suggest them here.

Keep in mind that all movesets are centered around the DPP/HGSS movedex (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver); Generation 4. If a Pokemon learns something in Gen 5 or 6; unless it is a Unova Poke, DO NOT request for its addition, since PI is in Gen 4.5 mode (somewhere between DPPHGSS and the BW generations)

Make sure you check the Pokemon's page to see if it can learn the requested move by level up or by the usage of TM/HM moves. Do not request a move to be added because "it's too hard to train them". That's how Gamefreak decided to make them.

Also note that egg/tutor/event moves will NOT be added. That means no Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon, Draco Meteor, Pledge moves, V-create and some other moves that are exclusive to event Pokemon.

Reason: Cleaned up the main post so easier to read/understand; clarifications on Unova/Kalos movedexes and so forth.

Re: Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

Basically the last 1/3 of Johto Pokemon don't have skill shop moves except for the ones that were asked about. So you can run through the IDs for those Pokemon and set skills to them all (for all evolution lines in that section). That should do the job :p

Re: Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

Added Skill Shop moves for:

Elekid
Magby
Dunsparce
Stantler
Entei
Roserade

The first 251 Pokemon should now all have Skill Shop moves (unless in the list to not learn skill shop moves) If you find a pokemon that is still missing moves from #001 - #251 please post them here and ill get right onto it :) and ofcourse any other pokemon you see without skills.

Re: Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

A vast majority of the gen 3 and 4 Pokemon are missing same-element skills because the original plan was to have all skills of the same element available at the shop, so we never added them. The plan was changed though.

So arceus dark and other types of arceus won't get their specific moves for the type they are?

Re: Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

I think the arceus forms are fine, you can get a same type move in the shop. I actually prefer the way it is. I like variety.

On another note, we should get outrage in the shop for tyranitar. And dragon dance, they are his egg moves.

Unless you want to implement a move breeding system =-D

Re: Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

i think infernape and torterra need more of their base element type moves and maybe a few others such as flamethrower, overheat, mega punch, focus punch and fire blast and torterra i think should have solarbeam, take-down, energy ball, and magical leaf as added skills in the shop at least

Re: Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

Blissey has moves that were bought in its Chansey evolution that cannot be assigned.
Some of those are Psychic, Snatch, Grass Knot, and Drain Punch.

Re: Pokemon That Require Skill Shop Moves

steelix currently only learns 1 ground-type move, Mud Sport, though it should be able to learn/buy more, like the earthquake and dig it could buy as an onix.
